Tusker Trail (Tz) is a licensed Tanzanian climbing company operating professional Kilimanjaro climbs with our own expert-trained guides, high end camps and dedicated porter crew. Our world class team has been guiding exclusively for Tusker for decades and are trained by high altitude medical professionals. They are the most qualified and experienced guides on Kilimanjaro. Our efficient climbing operation is based in the foothills of Kilimanjaro in Moshi, Tanzania and is licensed to operate mountain climbs on Kilimanjaro.

Our guides are experts, highly trained with long experience and proven leadership skills. Most of Tusker’s crew members have been working for us for the past 15-22 years. They are fiercely loyal to the Tusker family. With virtually no turnover amongst our staff, the Tusker crew is a finely tuned machine. Your guides are the key to a safe and exciting summit. They are highly skilled, medically trained and enjoy an elite status on Kilimanjaro, and guide exclusively for Tusker Trail.
Dedicated Climbing Team
Your climb is supported and backed by our dedicated porter crew, extremely loyal to our clients and our company. In a mountain first, Tusker Trail has engaged the Culinary Institute Of America to train our Kilimanjaro chefs. The Culinary Institute also designs Tusker Trail’s extraordinary menus specially engineered to keep climbers well fed and fueled for long hard days on the trail.
Signature Mountain Camp
As you arrive in camp, the first thing you notice are Tusker’s custom designed full-size, walk-in, stand-up tents. They are fully weatherproof and so large, you can walk around inside. They’re designed for heavy weather in any season. The custom fly and zipper system shield climbers against the wind and the elements, while allowing easy walk-in access. This extra space allows climbers plenty of room with customized cots and mattresses, with extra room to stretch their legs. Our camp also allow climbers to enjoy a private toilet tent as well as a hot shower every 2-3 days.
